Fenty Beauty Foundation & Makeup Primer, A Review.

Fenty Beauty Foundation & Makeup Primer, A Review.

Fenty Beauty, a brand I have been intrigued about for months. Ever since it launched I was curious to try the Fenty Beauty Foundation. So when I found myself in the Sephora, during a short city break to Barcelona, of course I had to pick up a few of the products. My first thoughts on viewing the counter at the time, what a small range. It was a very small collection of makeup but with an extensive shade range for the foundation. The idea behind the brand being if you find yourself a good foundation, you will always come back to buy it again and possibly more. Read on to hear my thoughts on both the primer and the foundation.

PRO FILT’R

Instant Retouch Primer

Oil free, super soft and silky texture – feels just like a very light moisturiser. I haven’t come across a primer for a long while, where it actually feels like skincare rather than makeup. I was really impressed with this. It does a fantastic job of smoothing out your pores and on a good skin day I feel I could wear this alone. All you need is one pump, and if you have drier skin then just apply it to the areas that you find get oily. The packaging, like the entire Fenty Beauty line is stunning.

PRO FILT’R

Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

Without a doubt, I am obsessed with this foundation. It instantly stole my number one spot and I am so glad I bought it. This foundation leaves a soft matte finish as well as being long wearing, with medium to buildable full coverage. It comes in an astounding range of 40 different shades, which is incredible. You need 1-2 pumps to cover your whole face. It is in a very similar price bracket to MAC Foundation – except it is a million times nicer. I used to like MAC Prolongwear foundation but I felt you could really feel it on the skin. This foundation has extremely good coverage yet you cannot detect or feel it on the skin. When you touch your face after application, there is no movement or stickiness, it feels just like skin – just matte. I chose to wear the shade 190 Neutral but will definitely pick up a few fairer shades too. The best thing about this range is that it is CRUELTY FREE. Yay Rianna.

Sounds great, good to hear your thoughts about the foundation! I like wearing makeup, but hate FEELING like I’m wearing makeup (which makes me a delight when I ask staff for help…) Curious to give it a go, if I can find the right shade!

    • Thanks darlin, I would definitely think you will find the right shade – there are over 40, and you’re like me, quite fair – they had a really good selection!! x x x
