Sunday Bathtime Rituals

When I lived in Ibiza, unfortunately, I did not have a bath. For me, a bath is super important, so goodness knows how I survived for 7 months with just a shower. Now that I am home, I take every opportunity I can to enjoy my bathtime rituals, especially of a weekend. I just love lying in the hot water, with a fabulous candle and a selection of hair and face masks to play with. Today, I thought I would share with you my current favourite products that are filling up my bathtime this weekend.

I am a bath bomb girl at heart, but every now and then I like to use bath salts. My current favourite is the L:A Bruket organic mint bath salts, designed to help reduce stress as well as stimulating and improving your concentration. It smells really refreshing and I’m now a third of the way through the tub. If you don’t like overpowering scents whilst you relax, then this is for you.

Before I climb into the bath I will apply a hair mask, I have been using the Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Pre-shampoo mask. This has been a life saver for my super dry hair. Since coming back from Ibiza my focus has been trying to help fix the sun damage. This has helped return my hair to better health, it feels super soft once I dry it afterwards.

Next I will usually use a face scrub or a face mask. I love all the face masks that Jurlique have to offer, the Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Gel mask is especially lovely, and feels so soothing on the skin.  I am getting more and more obsessed with exfoliating as of late, simply because when I do my skin has a much healthier complexion, and not as many blemishes. My favourite at the moment is the Malin & Goetz Jojoba Face Scrub. I notice straight away when I have not been using this as my skin soon returns to a dull, spotty state. I cannot recommend this enough. Really gentle, but really satisfying too, you know?

A brand am beginning to have an unhealthy obsession with, is Rituals. I love absolutely everything about this brand, and their new The Ritual of Light collection is unreal. With sweet orange and cinnamon it has such a festive flavour to it, and smells divine. It’s not just about the smell, it is what this collection encompasses, inspired by ancient light ceremonies around the world, it helps to remind you to slow down, reflect and think of others. I have tried both the shower gel and the candle, and I cannot get enough. This collection might I add, is limited edition, so get your hands on it quick.

A ritual that helps you slow down and soothe your soul by the light of a flickering flame. To inspire you to shine a light on your compassion, kindness and love.

Once out of the bath tub, I always apply a body lotion. I am really enjoying using the Molton Brown Coconut & Sandalwood Body Lotion at the moment, as it just reminds me of being on holiday. The scent stays on my skin all day long and makes my skin incredibly silky.

What are your bathtime rituals?
