Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Nothing like finding a last minute Mother’s Day present, I leave everything to the last minute (including writing this blog post tee hee). I always forget when Mother’s Day is, and I only remember when I am given grief down the phone about forgetting to send a card. May I please point out, I forget every important occasion and have done for years, so really, my family should just know better, right?

Nevertheless, I thought I should make a bit more effort this year, seeing as I am disappearing for the Summer. So I hired a car and I am sat writing this post back up north in the Yorkshire Dales, before I go and see my mum on Sunday. I have arranged for both my sisters and my Nan to get together, which will be really nice for my mum as we only ever get together around Christmas time. As usual, I am becoming too rambly, so shall we discuss some gift ideas shall we? Something for everyone here chaps.

Fragrances and make-up. You cannot go wrong with either of these ideas. You can never have enough perfume for sure and this Dolce and Gabbana Rose Excels Eau de Parfum is incredibly stunning. Just look at that bottle, isn’t it so gorgeous? Not going to lie, this one is for myself, but I suppose I could treat my mum to this. She is definitely a perfume snob and loves particular scents, this one carries white flowers, neuroli leaves and signature Turkish and African Dog Roses. It is such a warming, sophisticated fragrance that every woman would adore.

Clinique is also a favourite with my mum, and was one of the first “posh” make-up brands she introduced me to as a teenager. In fact my very first foundation was from Clinique. I was spoilt for sure. There are some lovely little pieces from the Play with Pop by Zara Larsson range.  This is currently exclusively available to Harrods but you could await for the full UK launch on March 18th and get a gift voucher in the mean time.

Boots have some awesome new gift sets, and there is a Boots almost everywhere so easy to pick one of these up. The L’Oreal Golden Age Mother’s Day Gift Set is such a bargain at £19.99. It is beautifully packaged, and the products themselves look and feel so luxurious.

My personal favourite is the Nuxe Must Haves Gift Set, £20, as it contains the best dry oil ever. The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is a staple in my beauty cupboard and I always take a mini one away on holiday with me. It makes my skin silky soft and THAT smell, mmmmmmm yes please.

Anything rose gold is always a winner, and this Pixi Rose Oil Blend facial oil (£26) looks so adorable, I know my mum would love something like this. I may be kind and give it to her, I suppose….

These new precious body balms are enriched with natural origin distilled flower essences and the perfect blend of fragrance ands skincare. They feel really nourishing, nice and rich, a treat for the skin. Body moisturisers are something you always need more of, and this tin is just so lovely, it would be a nice gift for anyone. These are £17 from Marks and Spencer, go go go!
