Hair Colour Correction and Olaplex. Treatment at Trevor Sorbie Covent Garden
“Your white hair didn’t last very long did it?”
No kids, no it did not.
I get bored very easily, and in actual fact, the maintenance and up keep needed for perfect white blonde locks, it just did not entertain me for very long, and after a month, I decided I needed a change.
Thanks to Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden and extremely talented colour technican Marley Gordon, I believe I have finally found a trademark hair colour that I belong to.
So to get my white hair (ahem, yellow) to a more natural state of blonde, there was a process involved. To be more precise, a 5 hour long process.
I was left in the very talented hands of Marley, who has to be the best colourist I have ever met to date – now I have had my hair coloured many a time so that is a bold statement. I simply showed him one photograph, of Ashley Benson, and explained I really just wanted to get some depth back and be more of a natural blonde. I am not a fan of roots, and my own natural colour is a dark blonde, so the hair colour I had in my mind = low maintenance.
With a head full of bleach and yellow stripes, I was a long way off from where I wanted to be, but Marley assured me that he would be able to achieve my perfect hair – I just needed to be patient and trust him.
Stage one meant pre-colouring my hair and rinsing it out to give Marley a blank canvas to work upon. My hair went ginger, but I did not panic as I had every faith in Marley and the salon.
Once this was dry, Marley then applied a base colour in a natural medium blonde. My roots were purposely kept a darker blonde so that the finished look blended together seamlessly.
The next stage was to apply the balayage highlights.
This takes extreme skill and patience, as the strands need to be carefully painted, as to not get colour on any other area of exposed hair. I find the whole process extremely fascinating having always been used to having foils.
Through every step of the way Marley was reassuring and kept reminding me of the finished out come. How he had the patience to work on my hair for five long hairs blows my mind. He focused working around the front of the face, framing it with highlights. This is exactly what I wanted as I love being blonde and always need to have my hair brighter around my face.
Now as I had had so much colour done to my hair, taking it from a bleach yellow blonde to a more natural finish, by this point Marley was concerned my hair would need a little more than ordinary love. He introduced me to the Olaplex. Treatment and this my friends, is a game changer.

So without all the science and complicated stuff, Olaplex basically FIXES your hair and makes it feel and look brand new. You would never know I had had so much colour put on my hair as it just feels super soft and healthy. I could not recommend this enough – seriously, it works. I have not been paid by the salon or Olaplex to say this, come and stroke my hair and see for yourself.
I am so so happy with my new hair and cannot thank Trevor Sorbie enough. Huge huge thank you to Marley for being such a legend, and a special thanks to my good friend Petros, for recommending such a fab colourist and encouraging me to stick by Trevor Sorbie. I will not be using any other salon going forward as I trust this team, and have never ever been let down.
