Beauty blogger Zoe Newlove reviews Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 week tan and Trystal Self Tanning Bronzer.
So I wasn’t really a fake tan girl in all honesty, until I started flicking through photos on good ole Facebook and noticed how healthy I look when I have more colour to my skin. Like, seriously, why did no one tell me this sooner? Never have I been confident with applying self tan, always making mistakes and hanging my head in shame at the sight of my orange hands, but then I found Vita Liberata and I have not looked back since.

A few months ago I was invited to have what would be one of many spray tans with Vita Liberata, by a lovely girl called Clara. In my first session, I was so scared and asked for the lightest possible tan. I loved the finish and the fact I looked alive, simply from treating myself to a 10 minute spray session. What I love about Vita Liberata is that out of all the brands I have used, this is the most “natural”. It is an odourless, non toxic tan that uses certified natural and organic ingredients. I never felt comfortable wearing fake tan because I was conscious of all the chemicals inside them, but now I have found this brand, I can feel confident wearing it whenever I like.
The hero product pHenomenal 2-3 Week tan is absolutely brilliant, and I swear by it now. I like to exfoliate my skin every day for around a week before I intend on tanning, and then on the day I plan to get down to business, I make sure to shave the night before and remember not to moisturise beforehand. I will apply moisturiser as a barrier only to areas such as knees, feet, hands and elbows – this tip is the best thing ever, it literally makes all the difference. I will apply the tan of an evening, shower the following morning, and if I want to get the most out of my tan, I  repeat the process over the next 2 days, applying another layer and showering the next day. This way, your turn is guaranteed to last at least 3 weeks. No streaks, no mess and a gorgeous natural finish. P.S Always apply using a mitt in circular motions.
The first place my tan will disappear is my face, which is why I really like the Vita Liberata Trystal Self Tanning Bronzer. This stuff is one of kind, and I have not seen a bronzer like it before. You simply use as you would a normal bronzer, sweep the silky soft brush (like it is the softest brush ever) around the mineral powder, and apply over moisturiser or over liquid foundation. I like to focus the bronzer underneath my cheek bones so that when it develops it will leave me with a natural sculpted look.
Who said that you have to be super pale throughout Autumn and Winter? Cheat your way to sun kissed skin all year round.

  • It looks great! I always drop off the self-tan bandwagon around this time of year, mainly due to laziness. How’s the smell of this? That funky smell is the one thing I’ve had a hard time with in other products.

  • you look lovely. I have never tried any of their stuff but now I really want to!

  • I have a mini sample of this somewhere in a drawer, I think I’ll be digging it out to apply as I’m fed up on looking ghostly pale!

Sounds pretty good! I’m pretty much the same color all year around though. I actually might be more tan now than I was in summer, oops!
