How are you all doing? You good?
Today’s post is full to the brim of skincare goodness, I could literally run up to the next person I see walk past my house, and thrust all of these products into their hands and be like: These will change your skincare life man. However, I won’t as a) That would be incredibly weird b) I want them for myself.
First up Pixi Glow Tonic. I blame Emily from British  Beauty Addict for this purchase. We were in Liberty’s in London and Emily had this on her shopping list. So of course, I could not just stand there and not buy it too. I had read so many rave reviews about this stuff, plus the legendary Caroline Hirons always insists you use an exfoliating toner in your skincare routine, so, it was a no brainer. Does it live up to the hype? Yes it does – so much so, I have written it’s very own blog post, stay tuned.
La Roche-Posay Make-up Remover Micellar Water Gel*, oh how you confused me. At first, I thought this was a face wash, you know, one that you rub all over your face and then wash off with water. I just did not even think to read the instructions or figure out exactly what it was. As you can imagine, I did not really get what all the fuss was about with this product. No idea why, but I eventually did decide to read how to use this properly and low and behold, the game changed. You do not need water, kinda the whole point of this product, you simply use cotton pads and a couple of pumps to remove your make-up. It leaves no sticky residue and makes your skin feel so, so soft and clean. Blonde moments aside, this gets a thumbs up.
I have really, really been loving Vichy at the moment. I have so many products from this brand on the go right now, which is why two of them made the cut for this post. Vichy Normaderm Night Detox* is a glorious night cream for those of you who wake up with excess oil on the skin. Every now and then, I do indeed wake up with pesky blemishes and like my skin has a film of dirt over it, god knows why when I always take my make-up off. Nevertheless, this night cream puts a stop to that. It helps to purify and clean the skin whilst you sleep ensuring blemishes and pores are under control.
Another night cream I also cannot get enough of, is the new Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep. Wow, this stuff is good. Like, really good. I always look tired, in fact strike that, I look like death. Trust me, I am not attractive in the morning – it is very, very scary. *Shudders dramatically*. But, when I use this night cream, I wake up looking like a Victoria Secret Angel – okay, still on a dramatic high here, but the point is if you are fed up of waking up looking knackered even if you have 8 hours sleep or more the point, 0 hours sleep, you need this cream. It was actually designed around the idea of those who do not get enough sleep, young mums, flight attendants, nurses and what not, nobody wants to look tired at work. It recreates a good night’s sleep even when your hours are cut short. I will also do a full review on this, so I will cut it short here.#
Last but not least, you all should know by now how much I love my facial oils. Even though the Trilogy Rosehip Oil does not necessarily win awards in the fragrance category, it works wonders for my skin regardless. Always looking at ways of preventing fine lines and wrinkles, this oil is packed full of goodness and antioxidants to help smooth out the appearance of wrinkles. It also helps with scars and stretchmarks – yes you can use this on your body ! I have a scar on my face, that drives me crazy, so I am hoping I will see a little difference as I continue using this.
Until next time…..
