I absolutely freakin’ love sunglasses. A girl not massively into fashion, hence no sign of me becoming a fashion blogger anytime soon folks, I do still appreciate a good accessory. Luxury and good taste can come at a cost, but considering I will wear a pair of sunglasses for a good chunk of the year, day in and day out, I see a designer pair as an investment.
Having scratched my last two pairs of Ray-Ban Aviators, *weeps into my pillow*, I do not go anywhere without a glasses case for my new Ray-Ban 4171 Erika Sunglasses. I am determined to look after these, I mean, just look at them. I love, love, love the matte tortoise shell finish, and the shape is effortlessly vintage, but paired with the classic contemporary metal temples, they have a really edgy feel to them. I may even go as far to say, they make me feel … cool?
My boyfriend, whom snapped these photos by the way, decided he also loved them and continuously made threats about stealing them. Being the good girlfriend I am, I bought him a pair for his birthday so mine can remain safe. He won’t mind me saying, but they are £88 so actually a lot cheaper than the usual Ray-Ban sunglasses. Everyone has the aviators, including me albeit the scratches, so it is nice to have a pair that are totally different. I will just have to make sure me and the other half do not go out wearing them at the same time, that would just be too weird.
Sunglasses Shop are brilliant and I foresee many more purchases from their website, as they have a variety of brands available, plus they always seem to have a cheeky discount. As I am writing this they have a 15% off discount code. It is very, very tempting to purchase another pair, not that I am eyeing up these gun metal ones from Tom Ford at all….

Hi Zoe! Funny that you talked about this specific pair as I saw it when I was going to a few shops with one of my best friends because she wanted to get one for her birthday! These kind of vintage style RayBan caught my attention immediately and now that I see you with them I’m fighting the urge to get a pair – I just got a new pair of sunglasses!!
