Hair | Summer Festival Styles with Got2B #Got2BStyle
Festival season is well under way, yet I am still to write anything in relation to this time of year. How very rude of me. I recently received an exciting package containing lots of fun hair styling products from the Schwarzkopf got2b range – along with a pink selfie stick & floral headband might I add.
Feeling inspired I decided to create two Summer Festival Hair Styles. These obviously work well for short hair, but you can take the gist of them and make them work even if your hair is longer. The first look incorporates a hair style that I wear regularly anyway, so I find this really easy: A Festival Inside Out Braid. I promise one day I will get around to filming a video of this so you can see just how simple it is to put together, but for now, take a look at my photos that follow.
Pretty Little Braid
Apply got2b Powder’ful Volumizing Styling Powder into the roots and lengths of dry hair for instant volume and texture.
Start at the front of your hairline from the edge of your parting – this will differ for you all dependant on how you wear your parting.
Then take three inch wide sections of hair, and begin as if to form a plait.
As usual with a traditional braid, bring in a section of new hair with each third.
Instead of going over and under, for it to be inside out, you need to go under and over.
Pull this tightly as you go along and secure with grips at the base of your hair.
Repeat on the other side.
Pull apart and loosen once you are happy and your hair is fixed in place.
For the second look, I decided to create some texture with twists and incorporated the cute floral head band that I was given. Head bands always stand out at festivals, they are a great accessory and perfect for Summer.
Beach Wave Floral Twist
Spray dry hair with got2b Beach Matt Texturising Salt Spray.
Scrunch this into hair.
Apply got2b Oil-licious Styling Oil to ends to tame any frizz.
Place and secure Floral Head Band
Twist sections of hair and secure around the head band using grips.
For long hair, this would look nice with just half of your hair up, with the rest down sporting casual beachy, tousled waves.
There you go! Two super easy looks for this festival season. P.S If you are wondering what lipstick I am wearing, all will be revealed in tomorrow’s blog post. It is totally my new favourite shade.
