Freedom Makeup London, a new cosmetics range from the founder of Makeup Revolution. Not quite sure why a brand as great as Makeup Revolution feel the need to bring out a “sister” brand with very similar products, but hey ho – who am I but a mere beauty blogger.
I have been testing this make-up out for quite a while, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything amazing – the inner make-up snob in me cries. When in actual fact, from what I have been playing with, I was really impressed with the quality.
Let’s discuss the Pro Matte Foundation, which I have in the shade 04. From the shade number, I was expecting it to be too dark, again I was wrong in my assumption as it was a perfect match. I oddly like to apply this using my fingers, so that I can build up a fuller coverage – totally unlike me I know. It has a heavy texture to touch directly from the tube, but once applied feels very lightweight and leaves a semi matte finish. I actually am wearing it today and my skin still looks great. I have been reaching for this over my usual staple foundations, I am still shocked that I have been doing this. I mean, this is £2.00??? Who would have thought I would choose a £2 budget foundation over the rest of my high end luxury collection. Strange things happen.
Pro Glow Meow, the design of which reminds me of a Too Faced Bronzer, again is of great quality. The pigment is lovely and applies very easily, blending into the skin without any patchiness. It broke my heart swirling my brush around and ruining the animal print, but you can pick out each of the shades if you preferred. £2.50 for this bad boy. Yup, my jaw is still on the floor at these prices.

For this look I used the Mono Eyeshadow Gilded 218, a really warm coppery bronze shadow which just applies beautifully. These eyeshadows are a £1.00. Yet, they have the same quality of a really expensive, high end eyeshadow. How they do this, I am not so sure, but hell if you are trying to build up a make-up kit on a budget, then these are great. I finished the eyes off with the Curling Mascara. I rarely get excited about mascara, and this doesn’t do anything special but again, a cheap mascara that does the job.
All I used on my cheeks was the Pro Glow Meow (a mix of blush/bronze/shimmer shades) and then on top as a highlight I used the Pro Highlight Brighten. This reminds me very much of Soft and Gentle from M.A.C. It has a velvety smooth texture and really makes the skin look fab.  I am really getting into highlighter again and this is one I have been reaching for recently.
I still, STILL, get nervous about pink lipstick, even though whenever I wear a shade like this, it really draws out my eyes. It just feels too girly you know? Nevertheless, this blue toned pink is really pretty, it is called Candy Sweet and yes you guessed it, it is a pound.
Have any of you guys tried Freedom Makeup London yet? If so, what would you recommend I try next?
