Ah Spring is my favourite time of year to trial new make-up products. I much prefer a minimal base for my skin and then I can play around with colour and texture else where. This is what today’s make-up post will be focusing on, those extra additions to add into your Spring make-up wardrobe that allow you to remain fresh faced but show off a pop of colour.
I have been loving my Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight, it is so easy to use and such a great size to throw in my hand bag when on the go. Simply sweep the crayon across the top of your cheek bones for an instant pick me up and glow. The texture is light and it does not go greasy or move the make-up underneath.
Forever on the hunt for new brow pencils, a new one I have been playing with is from Pur Minerals, their Wake Me Up Brow Dual Ended Brow Pencil. The shade I have is Blonde Roast and it is a really good match for me. One end is for your brows, the other is a nude highlighting concealer for your eyes, particularly the waterline. This duo really does wake up the eye area and has become my go to pencil when I am feeling extra sleepy of a morning.
Blue eyeliner always seems to pop up in Spring / Summer make-up collections, and it is something that I want to wear more of as I think it looks really pretty, whilst being a really simple way of adding colour to your make-up. Here I have used the Inika Organic Cosmetics Vegan Eye liner pencil in Peacock Blue.
A brand I keep meaning to get to know better, is Diego Dalla Palma. Their lipsticks have a really buttery, semi matte finish. I am not one for pink lipstick, we all know that, but I really do love this colour. There is something quite grown up about this Cardinal Pink shade. It is muted, and not too Barbie like.
What colours do you like to play with during Spring?

  • I love the blue eyeliner on your waterline! That might even be a look I’d be brave enough to play around with at some point! Usually I stick to more neutral colours and rarely have anything on the waterline.

    Awesome post 🙂

I’ve been wearing a lovely lilac/lavender eyeshadow a lot recently, it’s such a flattering shade whether it’s worn on it’s own or over the top of a more neutral brown/taupe shade. I also picked up a bright orange lipstick which I’m excited to wear. I love the autumn/winter makeup trends, but the spring/summer trends are just beautiful and really allow for experimentation. That Clinique highlighter sounds lovely, and that lipstick shade looks stunning on you too! Definitely will have to try out a few of these bits and bobs!

Some beautiful products! I love adding a little soft purple to my look & getting a chance to include some more golden, bronzy shades in my look – they really don’t suit me in the summer! Xx

Gorgeous picks, I’ve actually picked up the No7 dipe for the sculpting highlight as I wanted to see if I’d use it first. But this looks and sounds amazing, I love their chubby concealer so definitely need to get my hands on this one!
