A smokey eye is without a doubt one of the most classic make-up looks anyone could do. Having previously tried Yves Rocher body care, I thought it might be quite nice to trial their make-up range. I was very kindly sent a selection of products which would help me to create the perfect smokey eye.
I firstly applied the Fixing Eyelid Primer, which comes in a very handy tube, designed to smooth out any lines and prime the eye lid ready for eyeshadow. The Red Hot Brown Quad Eyeshadow palette is absolutely beautiful, packaged in a gorgeous metallic rose gold shade, with a fab sized mirror inside too. It does come with mini eyeshadow applicators, but I never use these and find them a waste of time, with any brand! The pigment and colour pay off of these eyeshadows is very good, but the texture is what sold me, it is silky soft so therefore these shadows blend like a dream. Blending is key to a successful smokey eye!
I applied the lightest shade as a base all over the lid, right up to brow bone, I then applied shade two in the centre of the lid, a shimmery taupe shade (my favourite of the four), I then applied three right across the crease, sweeping back and forth, softening with my brush. Finally to add more depth I added the darkest shade to the outer corner.
This look was finished off with the cute Intense Kajal liner in black, I love this as it is like a big chunky crayon, with a fine point making application really easy. I applied this to both my top and bottom waterline as well as along the top lash line. Of course, the mascara was then used to smother my blonde lashes in black.

Overall, I was really impressed with the Yves Rocher make-up, especially the eyeshadow palette, which for those wondering is available in 5 other colour combinations.Even my house mate complimented my eye make-up, which is always a bonus!
Have any of you tried this brand before??
