bareMinerals Complexion Rescue | The Review
I know we are only four months into the year, but the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue, has to be my favourite make-up launch so far. I have had this for a few months now, and I simply cannot get enough of it. If you love that “my skin but better” look, where your skin shows through but is just mightily enhanced, and more importantly, still feels like skin, then you will absolutely buzz off this Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream.
Different to other tinted moisturisers, Complexion Rescue has so much more to offer, combining the technology behind your Bb creams and Cc creams too, this gel like cream promises to increase hydration in your skin and the over all texture. How does this work? It sounds more like skincare doesn’t it?
It contains lots of electrolytes which energise your skin and help promote the moisture balance, packed with Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium, your skin be replenished, sporting a healthy glow. Ingredients such as olive-derived squaline, marine botanicals and glycerin continue to replenish the skin and hydrate it at the same time. Your skin will be given an instant burst of hydration, which is why I love this product so much, it works wonders on my dehydration lines. Your skin should – and in my case has been – feel more hydrated the more you use it.
I feel confident wearing just this with a little bit of under eye concealer, I have a few blemishes at the moment, but didn’t even feel a heavy duty concealer was necessary. All I have used on my skin in the photos above is the Complexion Rescue and under eye concealer, that is it. The finish is more on the dewy side, oilier skins may feel the need to use a powder on top and if you prefer a fuller coverage, I recommend using this as a primer before a more buildable foundation is applied on top.
Perfect for the Spring / Summer seasons, with SPF 30 in there too, this is definitely going to be a big hit. I can see myself repurchasing this time and time again. Thank you bareMinerals. Available NOW for £26.

I got this recently and have been wearing it nonstop. It’s definitely my favorite tinted moisturizer-esque product I’ve tried, and you’re right – it really is the kind of product that makes you not really care about covering any blemishes showing through. I never feel the need to wear concealer with it, either!

This sounds beautiful! I’ve always been a huge lover of medium-full coverage foundations, but I’m starting to reconsider a little. I recently purchased the Bourjois CC Cream and fell head over heals for it, and since that I’ve been loving the whole sheer base, more natural look. I think this may be the perfect addition to my collection. I will definitely have to keep my eyes pealed for it and test it out myself in store if I can!
