I haven’t really been sticking to my Going Green plan, I’ve been reviewing all kinds of brands recently, that do not have strict green ethics. It is so hard as a beauty blogger to stay away from exciting make-up brands, even when I know they contain all kinds of scary chemicals. I have been naughty and ignored the ingredient list for many a brand.  So today, I wanted to discuss a brand that is fifty shades of green, a brand I love and one I cannot wait to fill my beauty cupboards with. I truly do believe organic and natural products are best for you, inside and out, all around, and one day soon I will only use these kinds of products. I would be lying to myself and to you guys if I continued to ignore what I believe in.
Green People are an awesome, awesome brand consisting of pure, organic products. Creating and championing innovative products using only natural and organic ingredients. Harnessing the miracle of nature and the brilliance of science to nourish, balance and protect our skin without chemical nasties.
Going organic does not mean you have to compromise on quality or effectiveness, which is something I once worried about. Green People have formulations that promise to bring you radiant, glowing skin, with only the best ingredients.
You will never see these ingredients in any of the products:

Sodium Lauryl/Laureth, Sulphate, Parabens, Lanolin, Phtalates, Propylene, Alcohol, Glycol, Harsh Foaming Agents, Irritating Emulsifiers, Synthetic Fragrances, Colourants, Petrochemicals, Methlisothiazolinone, PABA-Sunscreen.
I think I will do a separate post on why we should avoid these ingredients as it can all be very confusing and it is something I am learning more about each day.
Today, I wanted to introduce you to three products that I have built into my skincare routine.
I have been using every single day for the past month, both morning and evening, and there is still so much left. It really is the most gentle cleanser I have ever used, and you only need one pump to softly break down any grime or make-up on the skin’s surface, leaving with you with clean, healthy skin. I was surprised to see it even remove the most stubborn waterproof mascara.
What I love about this is that it contains no alcohol, so it will not strip my skin of any goodness, leaving it balanced and nourished. It has quite a fresh smell, nothing overpowering, making it a really pleasure to use. It has anti inflammatory actives which will work well on blemish prone skin. Suitable for all skin types. Aloe Vera, Calendula and Shea butter are key ingredients.

This is the perfect base for my mineral make-up. If you have watched my Daily Make-up Routine, you will see my favourite foundation in action, the Antipodes  Mineral Powder Foundationalso organic – I use this most days and buffed on top of my skin prepped with this facial oil, just wow. It is designed to plump and nourish the skin, leaving it silky soft to touch. It is rich in Omega Fatty Acids, as well as containing other ingredients such as Organic Rosehip oil, Avocado, Almond and Vitamin E. I love using this in conjunction with the Hydrating Firming Serum, another great product to try from Green People.
Photographed above is a sample size, it actually comes packaged in a high tech looking tub. I am always wary of using exfoliating products, I am not a fan of harsh scrubs. This one is fabulous, with large granules, giving you the feeling of a deep clean, without being too hard and gritty. My skin felt ridiculously smooth after using this, and it definitely looked brighter. I have been using this twice a week so I no longer have any left of the sample, but I will definitely be repurchasing the full size. Interesting ingredients such as Pineapple extract, to dissolve the protein bonds which then releases the dead skin cells, Bamboo Stem extract, which lifts off hardened skin cells, and finally Bentonite Clay, great for unblocking congested pores. This clay is known for it’s detoxing properties, and can be used in making your own toothpaste.
After flicking through the brochure I was kindly sent along with these products, I have already circled a grand list of items that I want to buy, such as the Rejuvenating Eye Cream, Tinted Daily Skin Defence, Self Tan Lotion and the Fennel & Propolis Toothpaste. Oh and all of the make-up. Yup,  you see, I want it all.

What are your thoughts on organic skincare?
