I have been dying to get my hands stuck into this brand for months now, say hello to Inika Organic Cosmetics.

Being a nature nut, and some one whom is currently in the process of going fully organic – not just make-up folks, but my diet, my health, my house hold goods, basically anything and everything you could think of, this is a brand that was bound to grab my attention.Over the past few months, I have become very ingredient aware. In terms of what ingredients are good for me, but more so which ones I need to avoid. The nasties. Our skin is our biggest organ and what we put onto it – creams, powders, liquids – these absorb right into the skin. I had a look through my beauty collection and was shocked to see how many chemicals were sat there waiting to harm me. This may sound dramatic, but once you start researching the effect of these chemicals on your body then you too may feel like you need to detox your beauty wardrobe.

In 2015, Zoe Newlove, the blog and the person will be going green. So this means you will be seeing less of the main stream products and brands, instead expect to see reviews talking only about products that are all round great for us. Totally digressing, so let’s get back to Inika shall we.

Inika Organic Cosmetics* are 100% natural, organic and vegan friendly, containing zero synthetic chemicals and free from harmful ingredients. Now let me tell you, the Mineral Foundation is just utterly beautiful. It gives a light to medium (buildable) coverage and the finish is matte yet has that amazing “from within” the skin glow. It blends into the skin seamlessly, and is so ridiculously undetectable I forget I am wearing it. The Brow pencil is a fabulous shade for blondes and has more of a waxy finish to give the impression of groomed, defined brows – but still natural.

I was quite indecisive in choosing a shade to try from the Mineral Blush range, but in the end I went for Blooming Nude. I rarely wear a blusher and when I do it is usually a peach or a red tone, so try something more nude was a refreshing change. This blush matched the lip lips perfectly, I am wearing Nude Delight lip liner and Naked Ambition lipstick. The texture of the pencil is stunning and glides across my lips effortlessly. The lipstick has a great pigment and the texture is not drying in the slightest.

Onto the eyes, I do love a Mineral Eyeshadow, the pigment just always seems to be better, you know? I love this Autumn Plum shade as it really makes my eyes pop. It reminds me of a deeper shade of Cranberry from MAC Cosmetics. I placed a little of the Gold Dust in the inner corner of my eyes to open them up, not expecting to be as impressed. This has now become my favourite highlighting shadow, out doing my usual MAC Vanilla Pigment.

The mascara was not mind blowing in all honesty, just a standard mascara, but the fact it is entirely organic makes me more inclined to pick this up over one that makes me swoon.

It really is so important to keep in mind the ingredients we not only eat but what we put onto our skin daily. Not just make-up, but shower gels, moisturisers, hand creams – the list is endless. So to fall in love with Inika Organic Cosmetics, on every level, really is something amazing.

I will be a customer for life and I will encourage all to try at least one product from this brand. Be warned: You will fall hook, line and sinker.
