Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask | My Thoughts

Never before have I been nervous to try a treatment, yet the Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask*, the name gave me the heebie jeebies. I have never been stung by a bee, what if I was allergic? I didn’t want to DIE from trialling a face mask. Ooh, ever the drama queen.
I survived the patch test, as you might have guessed, after all I am sitting here warming up to write a glowing review. This advanced performance gel mask, contains bee venom with 3D express lifting effect technology – sounds very fancy doesn’t it? It promises to smooth your wrinkles and firm your skin for the appearance of a more lifted facial contour. Basically, botox in a bottle (well, a tube).

So, how does it work exactly?

The Bee venom (probably one of the most unusual ingredients I have ever come across?) controls the facial muscles, increases blood circulation, thus gently plumping out and firming the skin. Further firming and lifting comes from the ingredient Intensyl, which according to clinical tests showed lifting and firming within a 30 minute time period.

You can use it morning or evening! If you apply a thin layer to the skin, you can use it as a normal face mask and leave it on for ten minutes. If an intensive overnight treatment is more your thaang, leave it on, overnight, and wash off in the morning.

I prefer using it in a morning, just because I love the idea of an immediate firming effect which would then be noticeable throughout the day, plus I always forget to put on a night time treatment. I have used this a few times now and I adore the way my skin looks and feels afterward. My make-up sits ever so nicely on my skin after this treatment too!

I was expecting a tingling sensation, some kind of irritation/burny feeling, the kind you get with an acid peel. Instead I felt a soothing, cooling sensation, and around the 7th minute you definitely feel like something is getting all funky up in there. This is perfect for a luxury bath time treat if you just want to relax and wind down. On rinsing the gel off, my skin looked fabulous, but it was on applying the rest of my skincare that I could really feel that the mask had worked. Don’t expect to see any visual changes, well, not when you are wrinkle free at the age of 25, *touches wood*, but do expect to have much plumper, firmer skin. Perky.

With an array of other ingredients which help mattify, heal and hydrate the skin this really is great for my dehydrated, blemish prone skin type and for just £14.95 I will definitely be repurchasing this bad boy.

I would highly recommend this, I personally think brides would love this as I night-before -the-big-day type treatment. The results really are fantastic.

Have you tried this yet? Any other Nip + Fab recommendations?
