You know how a certain smell can take you back to a special place in time, triggering long, forgotten memories? Well, Rodial, just the name puts a smile on my face. It takes me back to the days of when I used to work for SpaceNK, oh how I miss you staff discount
The first thing I ever tried from Rodial was the famous Boob Job cream. Yes I wanted to give my little baps some loving. At £122, I obviously thought I was Richard Branson back in the day, I kept telling myself a real boob job was much more expensive. I have just had a flick through the website and to my horror, and ultimate delight, this product is now slashed down to £31!!! If you want firmer, perkier boobs then I would DEFINITELY recommend this cream. No, it does not grow a cup size as the bottle ridiculously claims, but it definitely enhances the feel of your ladies. I digress.
Today is all about the Rodial Instaglam*fabulous name – and the new Glamsticks*!  I have only ever tried products from the Body & Slimming range (did you ever see the Skinny Beach sticks?) so to try out some of the make-up was quite exciting.

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have seen me tweet last week, “Trialling an expensive tinted moisturiser, one that I want to love, and so far, not impressed.” Well. Guys. It was unfortunately in relation to the Rodial Instaglam Skin Tint. I was SO excited to try it out, and I had such high expectations as I have always been amazed by the brand’s products, I was quite upset that I didn’t get along with it.
The packaging, ticked every single box for me. Smart yet glam, and a good size too at 40ml. The colour I received to test was Capri, which was THE PERFECT match. I struggle to find a colour that suits my pale, English Rose skin, and this literally blended into my skin seamlessly. It even has a SPF 30, so your sun protection is covered too. So why did I not get on with this? What was wrong with it?
Me. I was all wrong for it, not the product. I have terribly dehydrated skin, and it is currently going through some kind of change. Hormonal acne has flared up around my jaw line and no matter how much water I drink, or how much I pile on the night oils, my skin is just constantly thirsty – yet oily too! Oooh it is annoying me. On application, this tinted moisturiser would cling to my dry patches. Please note, I was not aware I even had dry patches until I used this product. Severe dehydration going on here guys. It would then take about 10 minutes to settle and my skin would look flawless. I assume this is because the Hydromanil had kicked in to increase my moisture levels – yet only seemingly temporarily. The Hyaluronic Acid definitely made my skin firmer and plumper. As for coverage, all redness and blemishes were covered, which is pretty spectacular for any tinted moisturiser. This has to be the best medium coverage tinted moisturiser I have tried to date.
The dreamlike finish was soon to diminish. I would get to work and a few hours into my day, I could literally feel this product sinking into my pores. It would sit in between any lines, enhance dehydration lines and slide and crack around my nose. It was so disappointing. I tried every primer and moisturiser under the sun but nothing would make it work for me. So at £45 I will not see this as a future purchase. Sorry Rodial.
If you have normal skin, lucky you, as I believe this would be perfect for you, however if you have dry, oily or mature skin, I am not entirely sure this would be suitable. It states to improve dehydrated skin, so I do plan on using this until I finish it completely, to see if it actually does make any difference. *Raises eyebrows*
Rodial Glamstick in Psycho

Rodial Glamsticks however, are my new favourite thaaang and I am not one to get excited over a lip product. Trust me. Infused
with a light coconut flavour, they smell and taste ridiculously good. Note: These are not edible. Rodial
have creatively harnessed both the sheer softness of a lip butter and the
colour pay off of lipstick, thus creating a luxurious tinted lip balm. The
packaging is simply divine, typically Rodial, high-tech yet chic. I love how
incredibly hydrating and nourishing these are thanks to the key ingredient
cocoa butter, whilst the Vitamin E and SPF 15 ensures your lips are protected
too! However, this product wouldn’t be complete without a bit of science
injected into the formula, enriched with Hyaluronic Acid spheres designed to
provide immediate moisturisation and a long term plumping effect. The colour I received is Psycho, a muted pink-coral, just the right shade for this season. It is so easy to apply I don’t even need a mirror, I can simply throw it in my make-up bag and head out the door, knowing I can touch up through out the day without a worry. The staying power is actually great considering it is only a lip balm, and it also leaves a slight stain so you will carry a nice colour all day long.
I am really excited about trying out more from the 9 shades that are available as I was really impressed by this lip product. It may be a little on the expensive side at £25 but the amount of money I waste on lip balms that actually do not work and taste horrendous, treating myself to a Glamstick is definitely worth every penny.
Have you tried anything from Rodial before?
