A HUGE MASSIVE “CHEERS LOVE” to Laura from Laura Lou Beauty for picking this up on the Friday when I was unable to get across to the Pro Day! In a fluster, Laura simply text me saying £15, do you want it? No picture. I had no idea what she was talking about.
When a photo of this Nars Body Oil Duo set came through, I thought it had to be some kind of joke. These two bad boys are FULL SIZE and INDIVIDUALLY retail at £44. I have lusted over the Nars Monoi Body Glow II ever since I came across it back when I used to work for SpaceNK. It still to this day is my favourite body oil, and before now I never even owned one, not at that price.
BUT NOW I OWN BOTH WOOP DE WOOP. Fifteen English pounds my friends, I am still in disbelief and wish I had asked Laura to pick me up a boat load so that I would never run out.
Nars Body Glow, the bronze bottle, was the original Nars multi purpose beauty oil, designed to soothe and moisturise the skin with an addition of rich chocolate shimmer for that natural holiday sun kissed glow. The delicious fragrance that this oil is reknown for is derived from the lightweight Monoi de Tahiti oil, composed of pure coconut extract and the bud of a Tahitian flower. It is this tiare flower that infuses the oil with nutrients as well as a delicate, natural scent, THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO RUB IT ALL OVER YOUR BOD-AY.
Nars Monoi Body Glow II is my favourite out of the two, and is just the oil in it’s purest form without the chocolate shimmer. Did I mention just how UNREAL this smells? I could literally swim and bathe in the stuff for days. What makes this oil so special, hence the price tag, the Monoi de Tahiti oil is infused with a flower which only grows in French Polynesia. The tiare flower is something that has been used for centuries for not just its moisturising properties, but for medicinal, protecting and beautifying properties too. To encapsulate the essence of the infusion process inside each bottle is one of the flowers, a lovely finishing touch.
You can use the body glow over the body but you can also run a few drops through the ends of your hair! I cannot wait to take mine on holiday as it will make the perfect pool side accessory. Without a doubt, a Summer must-have!
