Melvita Organic Skincare | My Thoughts

Melvita Organic Skincare review
Melvita Organic Skincare review
Melvita, founded in 1983, started off on a bee farm. Two brothers were fascinated with the valuable role bees play in nature and soon built up over five hundred hives. I, myself, in the past few months, have only just discovered the true importance of bees, when an email landed in my inbox explaining that bees were dying out – and the effect this would have on us all.
Did you know that One in Three Bites of Food is either directly or indirectly made possible because of Bee Pollination? Fruit such as blueberries and cherries are an astonishing 90% dependent on Honeybees for pollination.
Melvita developed a skincare line without the need for harsh chemicals, which for the record all started before the trend for natural products took off. A note about buying natural products, just because it is deemed “trendy”. Please do not buy natural products just to “fit in”, do your research and learn about the reasons why using natural, organic, sustainable, eco-friendly products are not only better for you but in the grand scheme of things, Mother Earth.

Melvita Organic Skincare Bio- Excellence review
Melvita Organic Skincare Bio- Excellence review
I was invited to the launch of the new Plumping Rose collection and generously got to try a few of their products. When I tweeted about this, Caroline Hirons, almight skincare guru legend, replied declaring her love for the new collection. You don’t even have to read the rest of this post. Anything with the Hiron SOA, that’s Seal of Approval, and you are good to go.
First of all, let’s discuss the Bio-Excellence Naturalift collection, a new anti- ageing range that harnesses the powerful regenerating properties of organic buds. Melvita has patented a bud complex of beech, pine, blackcurrant and raspberry plant extracts combining together to strengthen firm and smooth the skin. Sounds good enough to eat right? Smells good enough to eat too. This Youthful Day Cream is enriched with shea butter and left my skin feeling super, super soft. I have given this product for my mum to use, so that she can give it a proper trial run.
Melvita Organic Skincare Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Cream review
Melvita Organic Skincare Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Cream review

The Plumping Rose collection is just stunning, this is designed for someone more of my age, upwards, 25 years old, I must get used to saying this. Wild rose petals, and their snazzy moisturing powers combined with a new extract of rose’s vitamin rich fruit, rose hip, tackle smoothing first wrinkles and restoring radiance.
I just adore this Plumping Radiance Cream, and I have been using this daily, and even some evenings since coming across it. The texture is silky soft and melts into the skin dreamily. The fragrance is obviously rose, but reminds me of fresh strawberry milkshakes. Having used this for a few weeks now I can say that it has left my skin smoother, brighter and healthier looking.

Melvita Organic Skincare Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Duo review

The piste de resistance of the range has to be this amazing Pulpe De Rose Plumping Radiance Duo. I have never used anything like it, and have fallen completely in love. So much so, I am worried I am going to run out before this collection is available to buy – which is next month by the way. This is Melvita’s HERO product, and I can certainly see why. It combines the power of rose fruit and flower, along with the skincare benefits of water and oil – all in one. I spritz 1-2 pumps of this into my hands and pat across my face and neck before applying my moisturiser. As this is made of water and oil, the two ingredients tend to separate, so you need to shake it up before using. YOU MUST TRY THIS. I promise you will not be disappointed.
I will go as far to say the Plumping Radiance Duo is my favourite skincare discovery this year? Yes.
Super impressed with Melvita, and to think I nearly didn’t go to this event because I got them confused for Belvita Breakfast biscuits…oops.
