Soap and Glory Make-up | My Thoughts

Just before Christmas
I was sent some more treats from the awesome brand that is Soap and Glory.
Having previously received a lovely little gift set, I was made up to discover I had been
sent some more of their products to try. Soap and Glory have the way to a girl’s heart
nailed, don’t they? Cute little boxes adorned with pink ribbon, pretty huh?

I am possibly one of the
laziest make-up artists you will ever meet, so hand me a simple crayon that can
make my lips look luscious, and you got me sold. Usually, for full, sexy lips, a
girl needs a lip primer, a liner, a lipstick, a gloss… are you still awake?
This crayon takes all that fuss away. Simply colour in your lips with the pink
crayon end, and then use the other end, a highlighter, in the centre of your
lips or in the cupids bow. Then Bob’s your uncle, the girl’s got lips you just
want to smooch right off…
Did it dry my lips out? No sir. Did it stay put all day? It sure did. Happy days.

I naughtily wore this
lip colour to work (whilst at MAC) and all the girls asked me what I was
wearing. I totally had to lie on the spot and think of a MAC dupe – I actually
can’t remember which one I said now, I think it may have been Viva Glam V. A
big negative however, I do not own a bloody sharpener big enough. Anyone know
where I can get one from? Cheers.
P.S It is a complete and utter bargain for £8.00. Don’t worry, you can thank me later.

Bronzer is definitely
something that excites me. I am pretty much invisible, I am THAT see through.
Seriously, I am as white as the background to this blog. So when I pop out my
bronzer, it’s like popping out a lifeline. It literally makes me look alive.
This Solar Powder Mix & Match Multi Shade Bronzer has great packaging, yes, it is a little on the “chunky”
side, but I like that. It makes me feel safe in the knowledge that it isn’t
likely to smash inside my handbag. I love the two shades you get, along with
the gorgeous pearlescent “SG” across the centre. Most importantly, this bronzer
is not orange. No sir, it is a lovely shade to sculpt cheekbones with whilst adding
warmth to my face. One thing, I do not like about this product, is the brush
you get with it. This is no slur on Soap and Glory, I just like a big fat brush
I can swirl around in the pan, not a little faffy thing – I mean really, who
uses these? I have been using this bronzer for my “daytime” contouring and I
will definitely throw it out there and say this is my new favourite bronzer.
Move over Nars Laguna… (You can come back in Summer when I need you again,
don’t get too upset). In fact, the first day I used this I got lots of
compliments on how “healthy” my skin looked, as I did throughout the week on
the days I wore it. For this reason Solar Power gets humongous brownie points.
I actually had one of my sisters over at the weekend, a fellow pale skinned bean, and she loved this so much that she went and bought it. So, this little gem got a whole lot of new love. Get it? New. Love. Moving on…

See below for photos of me wearing these delightful products.

Overall, I was really
impressed with these make-up treats I received, and now I am very keen to delve
into more of the Soap and Glory make-up range. Would you recommend anything for
me to try?
