A few weeks ago I was mooching around the new Marks and Spencer Beauty Hall in Liverpool and spotted one of my favourite brands. Ren
If you are new to this range of skincare, then I shall briefly introduce you. Ren is a no nasties, natural brand, only using 100% plant and mineral extracts. No parabens, sulphates, synthetics or mineral oil etc. I am a huuuuge lover of nature-friendly skincare and have used a wide range of products from this brand for years. They have a simple philosophy: Ren Clean Skincare gives you healthier, more beautiful skin that looks younger for longer.
Having just recently had a Pumpkin Peel I have become slightly obsessed with keeping my skin blemish free and radiant, more so than usual. I tirelessly look in the mirror and examine my skin in horrific, dramatic detail, scared of it becoming tired and dull. This in mind, I turned my attention to the Radiance range.
Ren’s Radiance range has has been formulated to reveal a renewed, revived and radiant complexion.
I have previously tried a mask from this range, and thought it might be nice to try a cleanser. Some of you may already know, but I have this thing for acid (not the drug). Anything with Glycolic, Salicylic or Lactic acid really floats my boat.

So of course I was going to love the Micro Polish Cleanser, containing 2 of my 3 favourite acids – Glycolic and Lactic – I could hardly leave it on the shelf.

Designed to deeply cleanse as well as gently exfoliate the skin, it also helps reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines. You can remove your make-up with this but I prefer not to, I always like to use a cleansing water to remove any make-up and then use another cleanser to remove any remaining dirt and oil that you may have missed on the first cleanse.

The cleanser gently foams up into a light lather, whilst the amber beads gently slough away dead skin cells. As it contains glycolic, I wouldn’t recommend for morning use, but you could use this AM or PM if you really wanted to. You only really need to use this 2-3 times a week, as more of a “treatment” cleanser rather than your daily cleanser.

When I first tried this, I was kind of expecting a “wow, look at how my skin glows” reaction immediately after washing my face. I didn’t, and went to bed feeling very disappointed. However, when I woke up in the morning, my skin definitely looked more radiant. With further use, I can happily say that this cleanser really does brighten my skin, and overall has helped improve the appearance of my pores and even controlled my blemishes.

For £20 and awesome results, this cleanser has quickly become a favourite of mine.
