Brush up your act.

Hey Dolls,
I thought I would do a little post on the new brushes I recently bought from the guys at
Being a make-up artist I am forever buying new brushes to play with, my collection just never feels complete. However, you don’t have to be a make-up artist to appreciate a good brush set. I believe every girl who loves putting their make-up on should have a great set of brushes.
The tools make all the difference guys!
There are so many brushes to choose from, some highly expensive ones that I will forever lust after and on the other scale ridiculously cheap ones – that last two minutes. So how do you choose? How do you know you are buying good quality brushes without being ripped off?
Luckily Crown Brush UK fill that void, they offer fantastic quality brushes for a fraction of the cost of more expensive brands.
I fell upon Crown Brush UK after I noticed Karla Powell from MUA Cosmetics tweet about her new 7pc HD Brush set. I just had to get my hands on them.

Ah, these brushes just look and feel so pretty. I love this set so much, I am even buying my mum and sisters a set! Ideal Christmas pressie no?
In this set you get a Powder, Blush, Foundation, Oval shadow (blending), Eyeshadow and Pointed liner brushes. As well as a metal mixing palette and a double sided spatula! I also think the metal mixing palette doubles up as a mirror. This handy, amazing quality, collection comes in a cute, patent leather case.
The brushes in my kit usually consist of  M.A.C or Illamasqua, and for one of these brushes alone you are looking at paying £10+, so to find a brand that has the same quality brushes for a smidge of the price I was over the moon.
If you have never bought a set of brushes and keep meaning to, then this is the set for you. It has everything you need to get started with your make-up. An absolute steal at £29.99

This set is my emergency set! When my brushes are all dirty, I know I can fall back on these and not be disappointed. I always like to have a spare set of brushes. I have so many, but still manage to run out of clean ones when I need them. Buying this set was much cheaper than hiring an assistant 😉
These brushes come all wrapped up in a leather snap case, you get a Brow/Lash groomer, Point Liner, Angle liner, Pro Spoolie (a mascara wand), Flocked Sponge, Sable Lip brush with cover, Deluxe Soft fan, 3 eyeshadow brushes, and 2 Powder brushes
My favourite in this set is the Deluxe Soft Fan brush. I always used to use these brushes solely for applying transculent powder to the face, but since assisting Aly Hazlewood (celebrity make-up artist – I want her job!!!), I picked up her tip of using it as a contour brush!!
This set is a random price of £28.49. Another absolute bargain set.

They have so many sets to choose from, and a range of individual brushes and make-up palettes on their website. You really can get carried away and spend a fortune. Nevertheless, if you are wearing your sensible hat and credit card is hidden, you can treat yourself without breaking the bank.

Christmas is just around the corner so get adding these brushes to your letter to Santa, or maybe like me, treat someone else to a lovely little gift like these sets.

  See you soon,
